Every CIA professional who is actively practicing must complete 40 hours of continuous professional education credit annually. Out of the 40 CPE, professionals must earn 2 hours of learning subject focusing on ethics.

Professionals must renew their licenses by the end of 31st December. The reporting period of the CPE credit is from 1st Jan to 31st Dec of every year. 

The CIA professionals who are not actively practicing must complete their CPE credits of 20 hours.

Professionals in the same year require 40 hours of CPE credits. If they want, they can earn extra credits in the same year, with a maximum of up to 20 credits eligible for carry forward.
